Who we are:

The Society for Prevention of Violence is a non-profit (501C3) organization affiliated with Ashland University.  The Society for Prevention of Violence is dedicated to reducing the prevalence of violent acts and asocial behaviors of children and adults through education. SPV realizes that Social Skills Training can be used as a tool to prevent violence, if taught in a systematic manner and by using a technique similar to that employed by mediators to resolve conflicts.  SPV offers many workshops to help educators improve social skills in their classrooms.

 Workshop Details:

  • Conduct a two day workshop at a college or university.
  • Instructor guide and all information required to teach the course is provided.
  • Workshop size is a maximum of 20 and a minimum of 10.
  • Easy sign up procedure.  Complete the attached teacher coordinator application and press submit to send to SPV.
